In the beginning

Ciclo Montana was founded in 1992 by Mark and Jacky Papworth, they started the business in Barranco Ferrer, Rubite, before moving to Fondales, La Taha in 2000, where we’re still based to this day!

The voices of experience

Mark (AKA – Marco) comes from a motocross background and has been riding, guiding, racing and rediscovering the trails in our local area for over 20 years, helping create the local mountain bike scene and paving the way for those who followed.

Jacky comes from an admin background and keeps Ciclo ticking over while the boys are out having fun, anything from cooking and cleaning to accounting and paperwork, she’s the real reason Ciclo’s kept going for so long.

Follow the leader

Born and bred here in The Alpujarra, Aaron is our head guide here at Ciclo and has been riding with us since the tender age of 9. Being a local means Aaron has a great knowledge of the trails, the area, the culture, and the people, allowing him to give you the best guiding experience available. Aaron also has a vast technical MTB knowledge as he spent two years studying in Scotland with Dirt School, refining his bike handling skills.
